The SECU Autism Clinic at ABC in Winston Salem celebrated their grand opening, thanks to a $1.5 million grant from the SECU Foundation.

The NC Early Education Coalition will award eight communities in North Carolina Think Babies™ Community Advocacy Activity Mini-Grants in order to support community advocacy efforts focused on infants, toddlers, their educators, and their families. This funding is provided by the Coalition, with support from the national ZERO TO THREE Think Babies™ campaign and the Pritzker Children’s Initiative’s National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers.

WNC Nonprofit Pathways now has two Senior Consultants leading their work in partnership as Jeannette Butterworth joins Cindy McMahon in this co-leadership role.

The North Carolina Museum of Art named Valerie Hillings as its next Museum director. A Duke University graduate and curator with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation for over 14 years, Hillings is currently curator and associate director of curatorial affairs for the future Guggenheim Abu Dhabi museum. She will join the NCMA on November 1, 2018, when Dr. Larry Wheeler retires after 24 years at the helm of the Museum.

The USTA awarded Abilities Tennis Association of North Carolina the 2018 USTA National Adaptive Tennis Community Service Award.

The JC Raulston Arboretum at North Carolina State University will serve as the setting for Moonlight in the Garden November 6-17. Sponsored by the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation and presented by Southern Lights of Raleigh and more than a dozen suppliers, the exhibition is a once-per-year occasion to see the botanical gardens and Arboretum at night.

The Carrack is seeking volunteers for their 4th annual Muse Masquerade on Saturday, October 27th.
