The Boston Foundation donated more than $6.4 million in grants to greater Boston organizations.

Economic Independence grants totaling $182,500 were provided by the Community Foundation of Broward. The grants were awarded to three community organizations that will impact 175 Broward residents who are struggling financially and face becoming homeless without any intervention.

Two new grants totaling $800,000 from the Rita & Alex Hillman Foundation will support innovative programs for underserved pregnant women, parents, and children. 

HomeAid America visited the New Orleans area and donated CareKits to Family Promise of St. Tammany. 

Glasses were raised for charity at the third annual Oktoberfest at The Community Chest on October 18th at the Englewood Field Club in Englewood, New Jersey.  The event kicked off the organization’s annual campaign and raised $30,000.

Assurant raised more than $200,000 at their 5K for United Way Miami-Dade.

Friends of the Children will begin a campaign to bring its courageous and unique model to the Tacoma area through a catalytic $500,000 investment from the Medina Foundation.
