On Friday, November 16th, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood chefs and team members volunteered for the annual Harvest Drive food drop at Western High School. The group came together to drop-off and sort 1,945 pounds of non-perishable food items benefiting Harvest Drive Florida.

As part of its first-ever My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge Competition, the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, an initiative of the Obama Foundation, has selected five California communities to receive grants to improve life outcomes for boys and young men of color.

The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami has received a $500,000 commitment from City National Bank of Florida. 

In response to the unprecedented destruction and challenges facing survivors of California’s recent wildfires in both Northern and Southern California, Direct Relief boosted its commitment to the relief effort by devoting at least $2 million in cash to bolster response and recovery efforts.

The Venable Foundation Inc. awarded $105,000 in grants benefiting three Washington, DC-based women’s organizations that empower and support the healing of women and young girls who are survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking.

The Community Chest awarded a $20,000 grant to the JCC Thurnauer School of Music’s Music Discovery Partnership program to provide music study for students unable to afford lessons in the Englewood Public Schools.
