The Getty Research Institute acquired a collection of hundreds of rare books, prints, and manuscripts related to the culinary arts from the 15th to the 19th centuries assembled by culinary authority Anne Willan and her husband Mark Cherniavsky – the Anne Willan and Mark Cherniavsky Gastronomy Collection. Additionally, a donation from Willan will support ongoing research grants known as the Cherniavsky Library Research Grants.

Michael and Kristina Gabelli of The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation made a $25,000 donation that will help provide college scholarships for military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

Shots Box has committed to raising $12,000 in one year for The Thirst Project to help end the global water crisis.

The Carroll Shelby Foundation made a $5,000 gift to the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, California, on November 5th.

Thierry Guetta (a/k/a Mr. Brainwash) donated an art piece created specifically for We Do It Together, a nonprofit studio dedicated to female filmmakers. The original art piece is valued at $20,000.

GameStop and Autism Speaks are awarding up to $250,000 in funding for scholarships and programs as part of the NXT GEN Coders Program powered by GameStop. 

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) received a $2 million donation from Darlene Marcos Shiley. This is the largest cash gift ever received by OLP.

Stella and Charles Guttman Community College received a $50,000 grant from the HERE to HERE fund at the James and Judith K. Dimon Foundation.
