The University of Chicago received a $100 million commitment from the Pritzker Foundation to support the new Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering

The American Society of Interior Designers and Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS have created the Design Impacts Life Fund, a new program offering grants to nonprofits that provide services, education, and treatment to those affected by HIV/AIDS. The fund received a $375,000 gift from the American Society of Interior Designers.

The Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation awarded grants totaling $107,700 to 23 area nonprofit organizations. Some of the awarded nonprofit organizations include Lake Waramaug Task Force, Music Mountain, and the Torrington Police Department.

PayPal Gives awarded two grants of $125,000 to Pivotal and Year Up.

SunTrust Foundation gifted a $1,475,000 grant to Money Management International for research, technology, and financial wellness counseling for Hispanic communities in Atlanta and Miami as well as members of the military, veterans, and their families.

The Isaac Bruce Foundation hosted the Flag Football Challenge on Saturday, June 1st, where the $5,000 Isaac Bruce Foundation Scholarship presented by Ameren Corporation was awarded to a graduating St. Louis senior.

The Starbucks Foundation, in partnership with Points of Light, is launching The Starbucks Foundation Service Fellows Program, a service program that provides their employees an opportunity to support local nonprofit organizations for seven-month terms while still working at Starbucks.

On June 5th, Alliance for Justice will hold its 40th Anniversary Luncheon and award Moriah Fund President Mary Ann Stein a Lifetime Achievement Award. The program will feature also AFJ President Nan Aron; Sen. Mazie Hirono (HI); Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY 8); and Cecile Richards, former president of Planned Parenthood and co-founder of Supermajority.

Exceptional Minds was selected as a 2019 California Nonprofit of the Year.

Guests gather at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Mervyn L. and Stephanie Tubbs Jones Memorial Scholarship Classic

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. will host the 27th Annual Mervyn L. and Stephanie Tubbs Jones Memorial Scholarship Classic from June 23rd-24th. The two-day event, featuring honorary co-chairs Congressman Lacy Clay and Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett, will reiterate the need for and impact of academic scholarships for African American students.

AQUAhydrate partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to create the Camo-Gallon, a co-branded camouflage edition of the AQUAhydrate gallon package available through the 4th of July. Additionally, AQUAhydrate donated $10,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project.
