Boney to lead N.C. Network of Grantmakers as Hapgood steps down
Ret Boney is named executive director of N.C. Network of Grantmakers, effective May 13. A former deputy editor of Philanthropy Journal, Boney will succeed Bobbi Hapgood, who will continue her affiliation as a trustee of her family’s foundation.
Snap Poll: Increases in tax rates will not greatly affect charitable giving

BCBSNC Foundation awards grants to foster physical activity and improved health
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) Foundation has provided more than $100,000 in grants to 21 organizations across the state. Each of the grants provides funding for equipment that will help increase physical activity in communities from Buncombe to Bertie County.
