Campbell University Receives Medical School Grants
Campbell University has been granted $2 million from both the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust and the Golden LEAF Foundation for the School of Osteopathic Medicine. These are the largest foundation gifts in the University’s 125-year history. The money will be used for the medical school’s state-of-the-art simulation lab, anatomy labs and clinical examination area, all of which will bear the name of the funders.
Teen substance-abuse program expanding
Reclaiming Futures, a national initiative that works with youths in the juvenile-justice system to help them address problems with drugs and alcohol, is expanding in North Carolina.
Schweitzer Fellows focus on underserved
Since the North Carolina Schweitzer Fellows Program began in 1994, hundreds of Fellows in the state have delivered over 60,000 hours of direct service to vulnerable individuals.
