Nonprofits need to make new friends among legislators
In North Carolina and across the nation, legislatures are convening with high numbers of freshman lawmakers. Redistricting brought about considerable change in many districts where elected officials had enjoyed longevity and constituents benefitted from established relationships. Nonprofit leaders need to reach out and establish new relationships to ensure that their message is heard and constituent needs are known.
The N.C. Center for Nonprofits presents its Public Policy Forum on Feb. 25 at the NC State University’s McKimmon Center and will host N.C. Nonprofits Day Feb. 26 at the General Assembly. For information or registration, visit its website.
