Leader of North Carolina nonprofit that serves disabled veterans honored by President Obama
Michael Dorman, founder of Military Missions in Action of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., was awarded a Citizen’s Medal last week by President Obama for his extraordinary service to veterans with disabilities and active duty service members. Dorman hopes the occasion will help to expand the reach of his nonprofit agency, which currently has 24 veterans’ projects on its waiting list.
